Hand pieced, hand embroidered, heavily embellished with trinkets and charms collected on many trips to New York City and the 26th Street Flea Market. All the fabric is scraps of fancy fabrics I collected from the many fabric shops in the garment district.

Silk neckties are machine sewn to posterboard covered with hand dyed sky blue fabric. The labels are from neckties and are from the stores that were once in downtown and surrounding areas of Cincinnati.

Made of labels from neckties. I used the back of the label where the threads show. Choosing lables with white threads showing, I was able to make the face.

Cloth doll made of silk duponi and silk lace netting on her legs. Her clothing is a textile I made of dissolvable fabric. The display stand is embellished with eggshells that were hand dyed with silk ties. Hand embroidered facial features.

Outfit is totally bead encrusted. Face is made of clay that I overbaked. Arms and legs were wrapped with copper wire bands. Display stand is covered with hammered copper.
